Beep Beep. Crash!

Ah! Life is always full of surprises, good and bad. The small snapshot above was a Surprise, literally. We were sitting, waiting at a red light, behind all the other cars, just like you are required to do at red lights, right.... Mr D and I was having casual conversation about the moving progress when suddenly - BAM! CRASH!

What happened? A Hot Rod Lincoln Town car is what happened. Newton's Law of Motion totally applied.

This photo is from the body shop. The back hatch was completely dented inward and when they tried to open the back hatch it cracked open all the way completely around the tag. Even though I'm worried about Betty being in the "hospital". I have to admit the cracking photos look kind of neat. I just find it fascinating how metal reacts to force and trauma.

We are thankful all is minor in comparison of other accidents and thankful that it wasn't worse than it was (such as possibly hitting the car in front of us, or the guy not having insurance, or suffering more injuries than minor whiplash). So my Betty is in the shop as we speak and I'm driving a wonderful "so ugly its cute" Toyota Yarius rental car. So I can't complain the least bit and just count my blessings.

I'm so sorry about your car, Kim! :-( I've never liked Lincoln Town Cars, and now I know why! ;-) I'm so glad you're safe, and I hope you get Betty back from the "hospital" soon!

Yours in Christ,
Shannon

It's okay... I'm just thankful we didn't have to stay in the hospital either! God was watching out for us!
