New Item in the Shop.

I've just listed a new item in the shop. It is a perfect example of the artist collaboration between my shop At Sea Level and Katelyn's shop KM Knits. Katelyn made several knitted circles for a brooch idea I've been wanting to try with my clay Sea Impressions. And here are the results:

Sea Impression Brooch - Kitten's Paw















The description: A colourful natural fossil-esc brooch made a from crochet knitted circle and impressed clay button of a Kitten's Paw shell. This brooch looks great to dress up a plain blouse or can also be pinned on a lovely handbag for added flair.

My clay pieces are made by pressing sea findings into wet clay. I then fire the clay until it has set, these impressions are highlighted in paint to accent the depth. My impressions come from the sea findings I discover on my daily walks along the beachfront I reside.

The brooch comes beautifully wrapped, and safely packaged for the trip home to you. Also included is note card containing information about the impression.

New Items in the Shop

Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a terrific day!
I've just recently posted several new items in the shop - At Sea Level Studios

The Amoeba Messenger bag - an artful messenger bag made from reclaimed and vintage fabrics and handmade clay impressed buttons I made myself.













The last photos are of me trying to show how the bag looks on as you carry it. As well as a close up shot of the strap with the handmade buttons. I kind of like how the photo with me wearing the bag came out. It is so tricky to take photos alone. I set up this full length mirror against an old oak tree. I like how the edges of the mirror blend in with the tree. It appears almost like some kind of magic door to nature. Not as if that could happen, but it made for a cool photo!

Also new in the shop is the assortment of the all time favourite recycled plastic wallets. Four of those to be exact - Orange, Quaker, Honey Vanilla, and Technology.
